Umbilical cord ties - Shop
IMPORTANT
Please check with your own midwifery team that they are happy to endorse a cotton tie for securing your baby's umbilical cord. If possible allow them to tie it for you or to observe it being tied. The ties are very secure if tied tightly and efficiently.
We cannot accept any responsibility for any ties not adequately tightened.
Some people are happy to have a plastic cord clamp applied for the first 24-48 hours then change it for a cord tie as the cord stump begins to dry. Again, please make this change under the supervision of your midwife, either in the hospital or at home.
As a former midwife I personally love these ties as an alternative.
